In 2001 Tommy Chambers formed his own interior design company, Tommy Chambers Interiors Incorporated, a culmination of sixteen years of interior design work in Los Angeles.  To date, Tommy is best known as one of two founding partners of Chambers and Murray Incorporated, a Los Angeles based architecture and interior design firm.  Chambers and Murray’s unique, award winning, high-end domestic architecture projects have graced the covers of Architectural Digest and other interior design publications.  Tommy spent eight years at Chambers and Murray as head of the interiors department and the senior business and operations manager for the firm.  Prior to starting Chambers and Murray, Inc., Tommy apprenticed for five years with the legendary interior designer, Joan Axelrod of Joan Axelrod Interiors.

In addition to receiving an architecture degree from Texas A&M University in 1990, Tommy spent a year in Europe studying art, architecture, and decorative arts.  With this training and experience, Tommy develops a unique approach to interior design for each of his clients.   By ignoring one “designer signature look” Tommy creates timeless and comfortable rooms, ranging from classic to contemporary, reflecting each client’s tastes and definitions of personal comfort.

To ensure the highest levels of client service and attention to detail and budget, projects at Tommy Chambers Interiors Incorporated are carefully selected and controlled.  Tommy is directly involved in each project to ensure dedicated and focused attention to the client’s needs.  Tommy and his team have projects throughout the United States and abroad.

Tommy is proud to be an active professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Design Association (IIDA), Los Angeles Design Group (LADG) and The Institute of Classical Architecture.  He is also listed in The Los Angeles Franklin Report, an independent evaluator of designers and design services.

In addition to work published in many interior design magazines, Tommy’s own home was featured on HGTV in 2003 and in 2006 some of his projects were also highlighted. Tommy has also been a featured designer on Courtney Cox’s design show, “Mix It Up” in the fall of 2003 and spring of 2004.
